The Fastest & Most Effective Insect Pest Control

How does it work?

We use our professional equipment to heat up the area to above 56°C for several hours. Insects cannot survive these temperatures. Heat kills all stages of the insects, including eggs and Larvae.

Heat penetrates deep into carpets, cracks & crevices, furniture, fabrics and even clothing if placed in the room. There's no hiding.

We use thermal imaging to check for cold spots in the area being heated and Bluetooth temperature sensors that monitor the room temperature.

The building and fixtures are perfectly safe. It sounds scary but the heat is perfectly safe.

How We Heat

We use high-powered indirect diesel heaters — with no naked flames inside your property. Fumes are fully vented outside, while safe, clean hot air is ducted directly to the affected areas. The heater unit itself remains outside at all times.

This method provides fast, stable heat-up and is significantly safer and more effective than heaters placed inside the building.

Important: Standard household or electric heaters cannot reach or maintain the temperatures required for effective insect eradication.

Proven, Safe & Effective Heat Treatment

Our heat treatment is child and pet friendly and delivers same-day results, destroying all stages of the insect life cycle — eggs, larvae, and adults.

  • Electric heaters that fail to reach lethal temperatures

Heat Treatment FAQ

Yes it does. Hot air will have to be pumped into a room. Same day results. We specialise in this
Unloading and loading the van of equipment seems like a marathon. It is very physical work as we have to be exposed to the heat when checking the rooms. The equipment is expensive and we use diesel to run it. Mothkill will beat genuine quotes! We are amongst some of the cheapest in the UK
The price is dependant on how many areas or rooms need treating. We will always try to provide the best quote
Moths, Beetle, Fleas, bed bugs and more
Insect eggs, larvae, pupae and adults are all killed reliably when they are raised to a temperature (at least 49°C) where their protective external coating breaks down and their basic protein structure denatures – essentially, they are 'cooked' (and also dehydrated)
It is safe for most materials, although we recommend electronics, wax items, makeup, aerosols, flammable items, fragile items like fine art are removed. Full list provided prior to arrival or on the web page.
Yes it can weaken the glue and therefore could cause bubbles and curling. I have done many heat treatments with wallpaper and it has been ok.
Our heater stays outside. No naked flames and only hot air is pumped in.
No it's really non invasive. We run the ducting through the window. The door of the room being treated is closed. The diesel heater stays outside and is not loud
In that unlikely event we would re-treat free of charge - please note that your property must be prepared prior to arrival or we cannot offer a guarantee.. See questions on bed bugs and moths.
We do this all the time and your building and items will be safe. Some items are removed from the room. We monitor the treatment all the time.
We recommend vacating whilst treatment is under way. It gets hot and pipes are hot. If any insecticides are used then the property must be empty of people and animals.
No. Fumes are vented outside. We use indirect diesel heaters that stay outside and clean hot air in ducted inside via a window or door. No smell.
All properties must have parking and an area to site our diesel heater outside. If you live in a flat please check with us for suitability.

All items that cannot take the heat must be removed to a safe place. The room must be decluttered and clothing washed and stored in containers. Unwashed clothing must also be isolated in containers or sealed bags. Anything removed from the room must be thoroughly inspected for infestation. Beds need to be stripped and if possible taken apart. Wardrobes, cupboards and drawers emptied. Sofas must be stripped of cushions and seats and the base taken apart if applicable. Thoroughly vacuum and dispose of rubbish in outside bins. Less is more in the room as heat needs to permeate and penetrate the surfaces.
It's always a good idea, especially with bed bugs, to remove clothing. Put clothing in sealed containers and/or sealed bags. Label the container or bag treated or untreated. To treat clothing wash at 60+, dry clean, freeze for 2 weeks or put in tumble dryer on high heat for 30 minutes. The method depends on the type of fabric. Always check label first. All these methods will kill larvae and bed bugs.
Yes it can fail if preparations are not made prior to treatment. It is your responsibility to remove clothing and belongings that could be infected. Furniture can normally stay.
If the paintwork is poorly done or old then it is possible it might bubble or peel. Good quality paintwork is normally stable.
